As the material transitions from liquid to solid, the increasing viscous drag surpasses the motor's minimal torque, automatically stopping the rotation to provide a definitive and repeatable test endpoint.

Upon stoppage, the integrated digital timer locks, clearly displaying the total elapsed gel time in hours, minutes, and seconds. A crucial advantage of this gel timer basic model is its data retention capability; the result remains on screen even if the unit is powered down, preventing data loss before being recorded. EASY OPERATION

Using this device is a breeze. Begin by pouring your prepared material sample into the disposable paper cup. Next, place the paper cup into the unit's base by rotating it within the O-ring holder until it's fully seated. Insert the disposable wire stirrer's bottom into the cup and attach the top to the drive spindle. Set the elapsed timer to "zero" and switch on the unit. Once gelation occurs, simply note the time, and then dispose of the cup and stirrer. Notably, the Gel Timer's gear motor can remain inactive for brief periods without any adverse effects.
