The UCI-4100DM Dynasonic Hardness Tester is a versatile portable hardness testing instrument that utilizes two methods. It uses both state-of-the-art ultrasonic contact impedance (UCI) and dynamic rebound (Leeb) techniques to conduct hardness testing within a single device.
This resolves the challenge of the Leeb method being unable to assess the hardness of plating and coating (using UCI), and the UCI method being inadequate for testing coarse crystal materials in the casting industry (using Leeb). The UCI-4100DM is designed to work not only with UCI motorized probes but also with Leeb impact probes, making it universally applicable for testing the hardness of materials with fine or coarse crystal structures in the metal industry.
The UCI-4100DM's UCI probe system is ideal for accurately measuring the hardness of coatings and platings, including chrome, copper plating, carburized layers, and Nitriding layers.
