The Story
Centrifugal Tissue Grinder – QualiGrind™ Cent Freeze
The QualiGrind™ Cent Freeze Centrifugal Tissue Grinder is designed to combine bead-based homogenization with integrated centrifuge functionality, streamlining the full sample preparation workflow. It processes samples directly inside standard centrifuge tubes using high-frequency resonance vibration paired with grinding beads, generating strong shear and impact forces for efficient tissue disruption.
A built-in refrigeration compressor supports controlled low-temperature conditions, helping minimize friction-related heat build-up and protecting sensitive biomolecules such as nucleic acids and proteins during processing.
The system supports dry, wet, and combined grinding modes, giving flexibility for different sample types and experimental needs. Centrifugation and homogenization functions can be performed separately or in a continuous workflow, allowing seamless transition from tissue disruption to spin-down without transferring samples, reducing handling steps and improving workflow consistency.
Centrifugal Tissue Grinder – QualiGrind™ Cent Freeze Applications
Animal tissues
Suitable for a wide range of animal tissues, including brain, heart, lung, stomach, liver, kidney, intestine, lymph nodes, muscle, bone, and hair. Ideal for routine preparation prior to extraction and purification workflows.
Plant tissues
Processes roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds. Sealed-tube operation helps maintain sample consistency across materials with different hardness and texture.
Environmental samples
Effective for soil, silt, sludge, and fecal samples where strong mechanical disruption is required to achieve uniform homogenates for downstream testing.
Microorganisms
Supports sample preparation for yeast and E. coli through bead-driven impact and shear forces that efficiently break down cells within closed tubes.
Volatile, polymer, food, and tablet materials
Compatible with volatile matrices such as coal, oil shale, and wax-based samples, as well as polymers like PE, textiles, and resins. Also suitable for food materials and tablet formulations used in laboratory grinding applications.
